Report: LME to discuss new Russian metal supplies ban

MOSCOW, Sep 29 (PRIME) -- The London Metal Exchange (LME) will discuss a possible prohibition on new supplies of Russian metals to its warehouses, Bloomberg reported Thursday, citing sources.

The trading floor said earlier that it had no plans to introduce any restrictions against the Russian metals producers that are not under sanctions, including RUSAL and Norilsk Nickel.

The newswire reported that no final decision on the restrictions was made, but the start of discussions marked a change in the approach of the bourse to Russian suppliers.
